Who we are
The Little Washington Masonic Cemetery is cared for in the spirit of Freemasonry, a longstanding tradition built on the principles of brotherhood, charity, integrity, and service to others. Masonic organizations are dedicated to supporting their communities, preserving history, and honoring those who came before us.
Locally, this commitment is reflected in the ongoing stewardship of the cemetery—ensuring it remains a place of dignity, remembrance, and peace. The work carried out here is guided by respect for the individuals interred and a shared responsibility to preserve this historic resting place for future generations.
Like many Masonic-affiliated efforts, the care of the cemetery relies on volunteers, community involvement, and charitable support. Through preservation work, grounds maintenance, and restoration efforts, the goal is to protect both the physical site and the historical legacy it represents.
In 2016, the Masons established a volunteer committee made up of community members and Masons. Today, this committee is responsible for maintaining the cemetery and overseeing its day-to-day operations.
This cemetery stands as a quiet but meaningful testament to the values of service and remembrance, and to the community’s continued commitment to honoring its past.
